For a year or so I've been joking that I could teach a whole workshop JUST on how to draw dog noses. They are an endless source of frustration to my students.
As it happens, I do have an upcoming class on drawing animals from photographs, so I'll share some of my class notes here for free. This is not "THE" way to draw dog noses (and eyes, page 2), but it's a simple explanation of how I begin.

A new addition to my Small Wonders collection, this piece began as a classroom demonstration and developed afterward into a tiny finished work. It is painted on heavy cotton paper and can be matted to fit a standard 8 x 10" frame, or framed in a 5 x 7" with a stiff backing and no glass required. Price shown is unframed, art only.
