October Crow

For this original drawing, I used a brush pen on Rives BFK tan paper, giving an old-fashioned textured effect not unlike that of a woodblock print. The sketching lines are still visible in parts of the piece -- soft, warm terra-cotta colored marks from the pastel pencil I used to get the drawing down before I inked it. I enjoyed the character they lent the work and so chose not to erase them.
